Chihuahuan Desert Animal Shelter & Sanctuary is a registered nonprofit 501(c)(3) and we are so excited to finally begin this journey with the El Paso and Doña Ana County community and whoever we can help through our journey.
Right now, we are operating through foster-based and surrender support efforts while we work toward our long-term dream of building a permanent sanctuary home for animals who truly have nowhere else to go. The forever property is still down the road, but the rescue work has already started. Please consider donating, we really can't do it without your help. We know traditional shelters can sometimes feel stressful, overwhelming, and temporary for animals, which is why our vision has always been centered around creating something more comforting, community-driven, and home-like. We believe sanctuary animals still deserve peace, safety, enrichment, love, and a real place to belong no matter their situation.
